Vintage Mandarin Chairs by Ettore Sottsass for Knoll Studio (Set of 2)

The Mandarin Chair was a particular favorite for corporate interiors, restaurants and libraries. Its flowing, sculptural arm invoked the turn-of-the-century bentwood designs of Thonet, and was available in a variety of different color finishes that afforded the design a level of adaptability. As the original press release noted, “The chair’s character changes with its finishes, from high-tech to traditional.” -Knoll.com

These particular chairs came from a local office space. The red, wool fabric has been professional cleaned. Each chair is void of any staining or rips. Foam on each chair is functional and has plenty of life left in them. The dark grey powder coated arms have some light nicks here and there. However, nothing noticeable. Overall, these difficult to find chairs will make a nice addition to a contemporary space. Listing is for two chairs. Six chairs available.
